We are a four season locale, with plenty of recreational activities all year around. Float or paddle the famed Yellowstone River from Spring to Fall. The river flows right through our idelyic town. Nordic ski (& XC) trails abound in Winter; as well as, being a snowmobilers gateway to Cooke City’s powdery heaven. The northern entrance to YNP is open year around and a winter time visit to the Lamar Valley provides majestic views and the chance to see some wildlife, including possibly YNP’s famous Grey Wolves.
Livingston is a historic railway town that has served for over 150 years as the northern gateway to Yellowstone National Park (YNP), the Grand Daddy of the U.S. National Park System. Nature’s beauty and wondrous outdoor recreation that is uniquely Montana abounds.
Located approximately ½ hour drive from Bozeman Gallatin International Airport, the Livingston area offers hiking, world class trout fishing, natural hot springs, down home hospitality and breathtaking vistas of the historic American West.
We are an hour away from the northern entrance to the first National Park which draws nearly 1/2 million guests annually to YNP.

If you get hungry for pizza & beer, locally raised beef for a true Montana cut, BBQ or award winning cuisine you’ll find it in the valley or back in the town of Livingston. Be prepared to plan ahead by making reservations any time of year as some of the most popular establishments can get pretty busy.
