JOHN MESSORES SEMINAR

Our annual summer Gasshuku with John Messores, 7th dan will be held September 9 – 11, 2022 at our new expanded location in Livingston (1313 W. Park St. Livingston MT 59047).

We are thrilled to be able to provide a unique opportunity for you to learn from one of the most experienced U.S. martial arts and senior instructors within Aikido Schools of Ueshiba (ASU).  Messores sensei is a life-long disciple of Mitsugi Saotome Shihan.  He was among the original students who invited Saotome to the United States in 1975.

Messores, an accomplished swordsman, has been prominently featured in Mitsugi Saotome’s books including the live blade katana beachfront scenes published in “Aikido and the Harmony of Nature” © 1986.

He is the founder of the Jionjuku Aikido Academy located in Tampa/Saint Petersburg, FL and served as the first ASU president from 2015 – 2017.  He continues to serve as counsel to the ASU Board and members while also traveling within the US and  abroad to foster aikido teachings.

This event is designed to allow participants personalized “hands on” training.  MWA’s events are known for their intimate atmosphere with a limited number of people training on the mat at any given time.  This small group format provides plenty of one-on-one interaction between participants and instructors.  Messores Sensei tailors the training topics and instruction to those present which is a unique training experience.

Participants at our annual summer Gasshuku always have a great time training with Messores Sensei.  To reserve your place at this event use the button below. Cost is $150 for the entire weekend.
